  1. It must be the near death experiences that prompt a person to reconsider the things in life they once thought were a priority. Mr. Elias says things like “above all” and “the only thing that matters in my life”
    Maybe brushes with death is what it takes for us to have this kind of dialogue. I bet God already knew this and spared his life and others so they could share these ideas.

    Now, is being a good dad a worthy, top goal? Certainly.
    Should it be my exclusive top goal in life? Probably not.
