Share Your Favorite November Blog Post
It’s been far too long since I’ve done this here at the blog. A busy autumn has me feeling like butter spread over too much bread (thanks for that saying, Bilbo). So, as in traditions past, today is your chance to share three things in the comments:
1) What’s the best blog post you read on the interwebs during the month of November?
2) What’s your favorite cereal? (We all know the answer to that one, but I’ll let you humor me with your substandard choices).
3) And, if you’re a blogger, what was the most popular post that you wrote during the month all the turkeys hate?
Leave your answers in the comments, and in the next few weeks I’ll try to read through all of them and give you a rundown of the best of the best.
When Your Dream Means Giving It All Away
Today’s guest post on dreams is brought to you by Chase, a writer living in Jackson, Tennessee. Enjoy!
I am known for my dreams, that wild theater of illusion that plays every night in my sleep, but I’d rather people know about another dream I have.

When Your Dream Emerges From a Nightmare
Today’s guest post is brought to you by Brenda Boitson, a wonderful writer and lovely person. Today she writes about her main writing project, a story that began with her husbands diagnosis with cancer.
In July 2008 my husband told me I needed to tell our story, to write it down and share it. He told me this while laying in a hospital bed. I began writing our story soon after he died. I would spend hours at the local cafe crying over my chai and netbook. The words poured out of me.

When Your Dream Requires Waiting…and a Teeter Totter
Andi is a good friend of mine from college who, just a few weeks ago, was gracious enough to give my family a tour of the estate of which her father has been the caretaker for many, many years. She is a fabulous writer working on a project that I think has huge potential to be very important and very good.
If you are interested in guest-posting here about your journey towards your dream, let me know. I’d like to start a weekly series, if there are enough of you who want to write about it. It can be based around the dream you want to live, the dream you are living, how your dream has affected your life, or anything in between.
If I’m honest, I must admit that the hardest thing in life for me to do is wait. I’m not talking about waiting for a light to change or waiting for a doctor’s appointment. I can do those things without a problem (After all, I can listen to a great novel or read a great collection of essays while waiting.). No, it’s the big things – the relationships, the jobs, the plans, the promises – those are things that are so tough for me to wait for.

When Your Dream Comes From Drowning
I recently met Chuck Holt and was immediately bowled over by his generosity and passion to alleviate poverty. More about him at the bottom of the post – today he blogs about the importance of having others around to support you while you go after your dream:
I spotted it in the shallow end of the pool and walked over to see what it was. The sun’s reflection made the dull can shine, inviting to any little boy. At that moment I went over to check it out. Little did I know that this decision would affect me for years to come. I remember that day like it was yesterday even though it was almost 40 years ago. I was 5 years old and my family was at a public pool.
I was always the kind of child that pushed the envelope. No wonder that now my favorite phrase is “If you’re not living life on the edge, you’re taking up too much space!” Most of the people had left and it was just my mom, her friend, my sister and me (and the life guard).
