There are lots of good people out there. I’m fortunate enough to be friends with more than my fair share of them. Here are five friends who either have books coming out now, or will soon:
Ira Wagler – “Growing Up Amish” continues to skyrocket in popularity and has currently hit #33 on the New York Times Best Sellers list for nonfiction ebooks! I can’t believe I have a friend on the NYTBS! If you haven’t read this book yet, you really should. Check it out HERE
Bryan Allain – The funniest writer I know, Bryan is launching a new ebook about blogging: 31 Days to Finding Your Blogging Mojo. I’ve had the privilege of seeing an advance copy of this, and it’s a must read for anyone who has a blog. Period. But if my word isn’t good enough for you, check out what John Acuff (of “Quitter” and “Stuff Christians Like” fame) has to say: “Bryan Allain wrote the kind of book that would have saved me years of blog fumbling and frustration.” Go check it out.
Janet Oberholtzer – I recently had the pleasure of hosting a dinner party that included Janet. When she started telling her story (and showed us her leg), the entire group was spellbound. If you want to read an incredible story, Janet’s memoir, “Because I Can,” is for you. Check it out HERE
Alise Wright is one of the kindest writers I know. Her new project, “Not Alone,” is a series of writings created by people who live with depression. Powerful. Check it out HERE
Jennifer Luitwieler – Jen is super-funny and super-insightful, and she’s combined these into what is sure to be an uber-enjoyable read: “Run With Me: An Accidental Runner and the Power of Poo.” This book hits our little hands on September 1st but is available for pre-order now, which you can do HERE.

Aw, thanks Shawn! I feel like I don’t belong with these folks since they’ve all written their books for real and I’m just a chick who got OTHER people to write for her. But the project is totally amazing and I cannot wait for people to be able to read it. For reals.
And I have to giggle about the kind thing because my bandmates have unanimously agreed that the title of my next book should be “Band Bitch.” Which I’m thinking is probably right and which I’m actually considering as an e-book. (Subtitle: “The nicest mean person you’ll ever meet” or “The meanest nice person you’ll ever meet” – one of those!)

Interesting list. I knew of Janet’s book–we are members of the same writer’s group, though I’m newer and haven’t met her there yet!
